ROOKIE CHALLENGE

5 km, 31 obstacles

The 31-obstacle course are for those who want to get over their fears and are ready to test the limits of their abilities. No one competes on this course, everyone is a champion when they cross the finish line, but you only have to get past the first obstacle to feel the blast of energy that’s hidden inside you.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • You’ll jump from 3 metres high and slide through a tunnel, run through forest paths and swim through the Martian Canal, but before the finish, you’ll have to come face-to-face with a roaring tiger and make your way to the top of Mount Alpha with the others.
  • This challenge is designed for all participants – less athletic participants to the amateur athlete, from the unsure to the curious.
  • There’s no time-keeping, so you can tackle obstacles by running, crawling or just walking.
  • 31 nature-made and man-made obstacles will bring you many different opportunities to test your willpower.
  • Alfa Run is one big team where everyone is ready to lend a helping hand.

ALPHA HERO CHALLENGE

10km, 40 obstacles

This challenge is designed for those who want to push themselves as far as possible out of their comfort zone and test the limits of their abilities in a 40-obstacle course. Even if you think it is impossible to complete this challenge, you realise that there is no plan B but to go out there and take on the challenge till the end.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • You’ll crawl up Mowgli’s ropes, climb Gulliver’s ladder, fly Tarzan’s rings, and when you’re hovering over Pinocchio’s hooks, you’ll realise that this was just the beginning of the challenge.
  • This challenge is often chosen by amateurs, athletes and the curious participants who want to test the limits of their abilities.
  • There is no timing here. You can overcome obstacles by running, crawling or just walking.
  • 40 nature-made and man-made obstacles will bring you many different opportunities to test your willpower.
  • Alfa Run is one big team where everyone is ready to lend a helping hand.

 

CHAMPIONS' CHALLENGE

10 km with timing

In this challenge, everyone wants to overcome not only themselves and their fears, but also to compete with other Alfa Run participants in terms of speed and agility. With a fellow competitor breathing down your neck, you won’t give up until the finish line. Unleash your inner beast!

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • You’ll jump from 3 metres and tunnel, run through forest paths and swim through the Martian Canal, but before the finish, you’ll have to come face-to-face with a roaring tiger and make your way to the top of Mount Alpha alongside others.
  • Choose your challenge: 5km with 31 obstacles or 10km with 40 obstacles.
  • This challenge is often chosen by those who want to compete against their own results as well as against other Alfa Run participants.
  • The time of your challenge is recorded and time penalties are applied if an obstacle is not completed.
  • 31/40 nature-made and man-made obstacles will bring you many different opportunities to test your abilities and your speed.
  • First three places in the men’s and women’s categories will be Awarded with valuable prizes.

OCR QUALIFICATION

10 km, 40 obstacles

From 2021 Alfa Run is recognised and eligible to organise qualifying races for the Obstacle course racing World Championships. This is an opportunity for athletes and amateurs to qualify for the OCR World Championships and compete against elite runners from around the world. The top 5 (in men’s and women’s categories separately) qualify for the OCR World Championships 2024 in Stratton, United States. Read more information about the Championships here.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • This is the track of choice for athletes and amateurs who want to qualify for the OCR World Championships.
  • Challenge completion time is recorded.
  • 40 natural and man-made obstacles, with many different opportunities to test your willpower.
  • First three places in the men’s and women’s categories will be Awarded with valuable prizes.
  • Qualification for the World Championships is open to those aged 16 and under.
  • All contenders must complete all obstacles. Unlimited repetitions are available, but failure to clear the obstacle will result in disqualification. This means that the runner can finish the race, receive a medal for completing the course, but loses the right to awards and qualification to OCR World Championship.

ALFA RUN MINI

1 km, 17 obstacles

This course is for adventurous and challenge-loving children. Little daredevils will learn to work as a team and immerse themselves in the thrill of adventure up to their ears.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

  • Children will crawl along the Murzius Trail, jump on fun slides and climb to the top of Alfa Mountain with others after crossing the Wall of Giants.
  • A 17-obstacle course where children will test their strength and experience the thrill of adventure.
  • It’s not a competition, everyone becomes a winner by lending a helping hand to others.
  • Parents can accompany and support their children throughout the course.

 

IMPORTANT!

  • The Alfa Run Mini is for children aged 5-13.
  • The children’s course will be open from 11am to 3pm.
  • Children are FREE to participate if their parents have a participation ticket for the Alfa Run main event. Tickets must be purchased in Paysera together with the adult ticket. One parent can buy two child tickets.
  • Parents who are not participating in the Alfa Run will be able to register their children for the Alfa Run Mini on the day of the event by paying a registration fee of 15€.

REGISTRATION ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT

  • On the day of the event carry with you your ID card/passport and participant ticket, and for participants aged 14-17 years, a written parental/guardian permission.
  • At registration you will receive a control wristband and an Alfa Run bandana, and for timed runners you will also receive your bib number and timing device.

AT THE FINISH LINE YOU WILL GET:

  • Mud coming out of your ears 😉

DRESS CODE

Dress code: comfortable, unrestrictive for you and the hero inside you. On the finish you can leave your shoes (if you won’t wear them again :)) to support the Alfa Centre rehabilitation for Addiction treatment.

ANY ADJUSTMENT OF REGISTRATION

Registration is made by name, so it is very important that all participants’ details are accurate this way registration process will go smoothly. Changes to the registration will be accepted until the 13th of June at info@alfarun.lt. The administration fee for data changes is 5€ per ticket.

We will share professional photos on the Alfa Run Facebook page during the week after the event. Look for yourself, tag and share.

WHAT ELSE IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW?

  • Bring towel and clean clothes.
  • There will be water points and medical assistance along the route.
  • The venue will have a changing area, showers, toilets, storage, ambulance, food and Alfa Run merchandise.
  • Entrance is free for spectators.
